I have returned after an absence of nearly three years—it is I, Masayuki Suzuki, the "major new talent" of the anime song world.
This was the fifth consecutive time I was able to contribute a theme song for Kaguya-sama: Love Is War, since it first premiered in 2019.
I will be celebrating my 70th birthday next year, so to be able to continue walking alongside such a magnificent work makes me deeply realize the true significance of having spent 45 years singing.
My duet partner on this latest release, "Abunaikioku," is Aoi Koga. Although we had met several times previously at Kaguya-sama events, this was our first time sharing a recording studio. Watching her grasp the world the song sought to depict—truly immersing herself in it to bring it to life through her performance—was nothing short of masterful. I believe the track beautifully captures the new romantic mind games unfolding between the two protagonists after a three-year passage of time.
So, I invite you to give this song a listen, and together we can look forward to the premiere of a new "romantic battle of wits" airing at the end of the year.

From the very first season of Kaguya-sama: Love Is War until now, Masayuki Suzuki has supported and colored the series through its opening theme songs and walked alongside it with us every step of the way. To think that I would actually get the chance to sing the opening theme myself this time around! My whole body is still trembling with excitement.
While I am deeply delighted and honored, a whirlwind of emotions is currently swirling within me, because this song will be used in the opening sequence to a work that holds such a special place in my heart.
Recording "Abunaikioku" was an incredibly nerve-wracking experience; yet, as I performed—keeping in mind the subtitle of this very project, "The Stairway to Adulthood" and reflecting upon the journey Kaguya and his friends have taken thus far—I poured every ounce of my heart and soul into the performance.
I sincerely hope you will listen to this song often and it will expand your view of the world of Kaguya-sama. Thank you so much for your support.
